With over 25 years of experience, Yolanda Alvarez has transformed the permanent makeup (PMU) industry, earning worldwide recognition for her artistry, innovation, and leadership. A licensed cosmetologist and accomplished oil paint artist, Yolanda was born with innate artistic talent, often referred to as her “art DNA,” which has fueled her passion for creativity and transformation.

Beginning her career in 1998 with the Soft Tap technique in Mexico, Yolanda redefined PMU after moving to the U.S. in 2008. In 2016, she developed her revolutionary “Zero Trauma Application: 100% Retention” technique, setting new standards for trauma-free procedures, superior healing, and exceptional retention.
